March 13, 2008 -- Songwriters' Circle of Peace-- Walla Walla University Alumni Center

Songwriting students from Walla Walla area colleges will join voices for Songwriters’ Circle of Peace on Thursday, March 13, at 6 p.m. in the alumni board room on the Walla Walla University campus.

Five to ten students, armed with pens, instruments, and musically creative minds, will gather in the casual atmosphere of the board room for a songwriting circle dedicated to peace. Students will share original peace-themed music, participate in a group songwriting activity, and discuss the role of music in the promotion of inner peace as well as peace on a global scale.

Students from area colleges who would like to participate by sharing a song may contact Brittney Sandvik, at likeapplesofgold@yahoo.com to sign up.

Interested members of the community are invited to join the songwriting group for listening or lending their voices to discussion.
Songwriters’ Circle of Peace is one of many events that have sprung out of a grassroots movement, "March of Peace," dedicated to peace-related events during the month of March.
