This
Thursday, in an event scheduled now for several months, two nationally known
poets, James Hoch and John Marshall, read in Administration Building Room 117 at Walla Walla University. They also have a workshop
and discussion at 2 p.m. in the Chan Shun Pavilion Lecture Hall Room 154. Hoch's new book
"Miscreants," is out from Norton, and Marshall's book, "Meaning a Cloud," is a
recent winner of Oberlin College's Field prize. Marshall is co-owner, with his
wife Christine Deavel, of Open Books: A Poem Emporium in Seattle. It's one of
two poetry only bookstores in the United States, and is a very significant
center for poetics. For more information, contact Dan Lamberton at 509-527-2123.
