March of Peace
Inner Peace, Family Peace, Community Peace
The gloom of the world is but a shadow. Behind it, yet within our reach, is joy. There is radiance and glory in the darkness, could we but see; and to see, we have only to look. No peace lies in the future which is not hidden in this present little instant. Take peace!
Fra Giovanni Giocondo (c. 1435-1515)
The March of Peace is about here and now--
reaffirming our commitment to peace and justice in a variety of ways. Through the arts we will nourish the soul--through concerts, art exhibitions and installations, roundtables, book talks, film, poetry beats--all for inspiration and focus. We will remind ourselves of how we live each day with a mindset toward living nonviolently--in the every day.

We are inviting individuals who are committed to making this world a better place and who understand that peace is not the mere absence of conflict. We want to celebrate peace with focus on the architecture of society--tolerance, civility, diversity, unity, harmony, equality, justice, humility and compassion. This month of emphasis is presented by the people for the people and does not represent any one organization, school, church, institution, ideology, religion or political affiliation.
