March of Peace
Inner Peace, Family Peace, Community Peace
March 9, 2008 -- West Coast to East Coast Family Meditation
A number of events have been arranged daily through the month of March as an attempt to spread thoughts of peaceful co-existence with one another, as well as peacefulness within oneself. It is not a war protest - although the ideas of "war" and "peace" certainly do sometimes intersect, yet are separate as well. It is a series of activities to encourage, "a culture of peace" - thoughts on living together in our own worlds - in our individual style and in the hope that by 'living peace', not only are we calmer and happier, that it will also be lovingly contagious.

To join me on this day, Sunday, March 9th, you could do anything you want regarding peace that is intentional toward this shared effort. For example, just take 5 minutes to read something about peace, maybe something about Martin Luther King or ask someone you know what peace means to them, initiate thoughts and dialog on the topic. Or you could plant a flower or a tree to honor thoughts of peace on this earth - or just step outside and wiggle your toes in the grass, look for the spring buds on a tree and realize the beauty of nature. You could light a candle while you're cooking dinner and be reminded of 'peace' when you look at its flame.

I'm excited to share this day with family and friends in mass, across the country and who mean so much to me, who contribute to my personal 'peace' by being part of my life. If you want, come along with me wherever you are that day, Sunday March 9th - and every day!
